Description

Château Malescot St Exupéry is a Margaux wine from a 23-hectare vineyard located in the heart of the appellation.
In 1697, the estate was sold to Simon Malescot, advisor to King Louis XIV. In 1827, the Count of Saint-Exupéry, great-grandfather of the famous aviator, became the owner. The Château Malescot St Exupéry, three centuries old and third Grand Cru Classé, has one of the most beautiful terroirs of Margaux, an emblematic appellation of the left bank of Bordeaux.

Tasting notes

”Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Malescot St. Exupery sings of cassis, fragrant earth, tobacco and lilacs with a compelling waft of mocha. Medium to full-bodied and strutting loads of expressive fruit layers at this youthful stage, it’s framed by ripe, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing with great length and depth.”[95/100 Points, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, November 2018, robertparker.com]
