Description

Chateau Leoville Las Cases has one of the longest histories in the Medoc . Much of that heritage is shared with what later became Leoville Poyferre . This famed Bordeaux wine estate, Leoville Las Cases was the property of a myriad of noble families. These owners were some of the most notable and wealthiest inhabitants in France. The final royal family to own the property is where the chateau draws its name from, the Las Cases family.

Tasting Notes

“Dark, brooding colour. Very introvert and still difficult to read though extremely solid. Then a polish and a suggestion of fireworks hints that this will be an extremely interesting wine with time. Very clean and appetising and bracing. Super-claret indeed!” 18.5/20 www.jancisrobinson.com
