But Giscours is much more than that! At Giscours, the château is surrounded by a vibrant community. Wine is at once the culmination and the point of departure: the origin and the goal.

Giscours has a long rich story and never stopped reinventing itself thanks to ambitious and visionary families of owners, developing a strong reputation of excellence of this spectacular Estate. Since 1995 Giscours has been owned by the Albada Jelgersma family, who keeps building the strong identity of the winery, always focusing on modernity and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in colour, the 2010 Giscours slips seductively out of the glass with notions of baked black cherries, mulberries and plum preserves plus hints of cassis, pencil lead and dried Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is toting a fair amount of oak with a sturdy frame of chewy tannins, coming through with a long, fruity finish.
