Description
Ever since they took over Domaine La Soufrandière in 2000, ever since they created their small scale “haute couture” merchant business called BRET BROTHERS in 2001 (high quality white wines from the Mâconnais region of Burgundy), this is what has been their credo and a source of vibration and passion : the diversity and richness of the terroirs of Burgundy (locally called ” Climats”) and primarily those in the Mâconnais, around one grape variety, Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes
“The 2023 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat Les Quarts has a delightful bouquet that has more charm than the Les Longeays cuvée: yellow fruit, hints of French patisserie, lemon verbena give way to crushed stone. This has very fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, vibrant and fresh with a touch of lemongrass on the finish.
